Microneedling is a safe technique. However, it is contraindicated/unsuitable in the following instances:

During an active acne outbreak or in those taking acne medication such as Roaccutane
Less than 3 months after treatment with Botox or fillers
History of allergies or skin cancer
Uncontrolled high blood pressure
When taking blood thinners, steroids or undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment
During pregnancy or breastfeeding
Autoimmune disease
History of keloid/hypertrophic scarring
